In Pancaked's defense, someone stole the CD from the case earlier this week, and Erik had to burn a new one. Otherwise, you know... totally...

2/17/2005 that's not a real Pancaked remix
yes it is!

The Marriage, "All Night Diner" 2:00 2.8m
The Marriage is Erik Moore, KCOU's Live Hour DJ and RAVVEO)))'s guhist.

also, how about a new OBELISK track, WITH VOCALS

OBELISK, "Aviators" 2:05 3.1m

also also, the bros francaix over at Castellane are inviting the public to pre-mix the singles from Darsh's forthcoming album Concrete, one at a time. That is to say: visit the website, download the parts, arrange them as you see fit, then wait to see how close / intentionally distant from the actual mix you are when they post it later! You could also be spending your time remixing that other Digiki-produced rap track, but you already know what that sounds like. Anyway, first single is called 'Cash'. And be looking for a MC Cat Genius appearance on a forthcoming Darsh single!

Speaking of Pancaked, Jason Cafer is including it on Volume 2 of his local music compilation, which means it will be getting professional mastering treatment. The call for remixes will end when I get the mastered version back, which should be in about a month. I'll post a real date when I have one. And then the official release will be, uh released! See side links for details.

Looks like I blew ol' "ULTRAMAX" out of the water! Speaking of which, here's the Kansas City Star review of Blue Ribbon Press' 1/21/05 'Fancy Feast' ULTAMAX/MC Cat Genius/RAVVEO))) show at the Boley, written by someone who apprently left after ULTAMAX (aka the first act). Sweet!

2/11/2005 save sparky by replacing him
NEW EVENTS:

Monday, Feb 28, 9:00 PM, on KCOU 88.1 FM -- MC Cat Genius on the Live Hour. Maybe their webcast will be working by then, via a miracle.

Tuesday, Mar 1, 9:00 PM (doors at 8), at Sparky's Homemade Ice Cream (21 S 9th, (573) 443-7400) -- a wake for the stolen Sparky the Dog Statue. A joint performance by MC Cat Genius and OBELISK, door prizes, a pre-release playing of the Sabertooth (ex-Pows) album, and (of course) a delightful selection of homemade, all-natural ice cream and ice cream-based liquor treats. $5 suggested donation -- all proceeds go to replace the stolen statue. Free samples.

also in Events:

Friday 2/18/05 10:45 @ Ragtag - Channing Kennedy cameo at the Cinesthesia Dance Party
Friday 2/25/05 10:00 @ Uprise Bakery - True/False Film Festival, Rise Up! Party (outside decor by Sabrina & Channing)
Sunday 2/27/05 10:00 AM @ Ragtag - True/False Film Fesitval, Plagues and Pleasures on the Salton Sea nautical breakfast (by Sabrina & Channing)

I'll make these into working links soon.

piccolo vs. social
new Pancaked remix

DJ John Jovi "I stuffed your sister's ass full of pancaked remixes" 9:01 13.2m

DJ John Jovi is Stephen Haslag from The I Love You But I'm Not In Love With Yous / Warhammer 48K / Tittyfuck Jubilee.

I think this may be a double CD.

2/05/2005 mail alert
If you sent email to any of us with a @catjams.com or an @maudevintage.com address in the last couple of days, and it bounced or you didn't get a reply, please resend it. The email was weird, but it is back now.

2/01/2005 a real band
The Sabertooth (ex-Pows) CD release show will be at Mojo's on Saturday, March 5, with Jerusalem and the Starbaskets and Lost Sounds. Also released at this show will be the Pows best-of.

last piece
Hiro sent me his painting of the last song on the Entei & Whitesnake album. Here is the complete tracklisting with accompanying artwork.

Here's the press release about the release show for the resulting VHS, happening in Columbia on the evening of Thursday 28 July 2005 and in Harajuku on the afternoon of Friday 29 July 2005 (aka simultaneously).
