8/29/2005 at least someone complained that I haven't updated the site
new directory

September 3 is my birthday, I think we'll be doing something at Ragtag involving Tape Store and Harry Potter

8/02/2005 why
has the Pows' "Pose" been getting downloaded literally ten times more than any other mp3 on the site for the past week? I don't see any corresponding search terms or referring links. Is some Myspace account hotlinking it? It is a big bot fave? Was a rumor started that it's by a real band? Is it a great song? I suspect that whoever is listening to it is utterly without knowledge of another page or note of Cat Jams.

Incidentally, the most popular mp3 for all the rest of history has always been the I Love You But I'm Not In Love With You's cover of Bikini Kill's "Carnival", presumably because people find it with a music search engine and think it's a real Bikini Kill song. But instead it's even greater.

miami dragons!
To celebrate Miami Dragons only having two shows left (hooray!), here's a recording of their first-ever show, at the Bull Pen Café back in March. 27:27 19.4m

And here's some demos they recorded at home a few months ago.

Oh yeah, here's a review I wrote of that show back when it happened so you can follow along.

tiny pants!
to celebrate Tiny Pants! taking state, here's a recording of their live show at Sparky's Homemade Ice Cream back in March. 33:28 47.5m
