The Maimi Dragons demos mysteriously disappeared, so I replaced them with Rex's superior remasters and some other bonuses. Check them out again, they are good and here they are
also, I added my recording of the Warhammer 48K CD release show to the /liveshows directory. Touch the sky
happy birthday mom
see you soon!
I need a new intern.
A few days ago, I got an email from former Cat Jams Unpaid Intern Aaron Arnoldy, blithely proffering that I couldn't do it without him (the site outages are Dreamhost's fault dude!). Though his evidence was grossly mispresented and I haven't had time to respond to him, his conclusion was basically right. I'm just one dude, and the day job is taking so much of my time these days that I barely am able to throw money away via Cat Jams.
So. Cat Jams Label is hereby accepting resumes for the position of unpaid intern. I have too many things I want to do, and there just isn't enough time in my schedule for one person to lose money on them all.
Looking for: enthusiastic young person (or whatever) with spare time; access to free photocopying a plus; must know HTML, have a basic sense of graphics and language; must be willing to enact the astonishingly unprofitable plans of a ridiculous guy; music industry knowledge appreciated but not required; must like Cat Jams music (even the terrible parts) and be able to talk about it. Also: video editing! !!! Should probably live in Columbia, but telecommunicating could be fun too.
Benefits: Get into shows (CJ or otherwise) for free sometimes; impress dumb people at parties; get a professional-looking recommendation for your future endeavors; free CDs, eh?; hone your computer and patience skills; be a part of something life-affirming; boost Columbia, get no money.
Bring in a resume (paper or otherwise) and a picture of yourself in a zebra outfit to Maude Vintage, or email me ( catjams attt catjams daht com ).
I have about 10 new releases that I want to get together, along with a CAT3 TV show or two, and I still want to get the website finished up. And More, always more! I could stand to have like three interns, specializing in CD Production, Promotions, Website, and Video Production (then not everyone would have to live in the US), but let's see what we get first.
And since I'm just posting this here, the other requirement is that you have to visit the Cat Jams site occasionally. Or at least know someone who does and reposts this somewhere else.
I thank you for your time.
