Pows "Hits!" press!
The Maneater - Pows leave nothing off Hits! compilation

claw-zet
A review I wrote of Sunday's Mahjongg - Bobby Conn - Miami Dragons show. Also thanks to Comomusic for giving the Pancaked remix project some publicity (because I submitted a story about it).
Sabertooth's Cadillac Soldier and the Pows' Hits! are now stocked at Maude Vintage, the Peace Nook, Slackers CDs and Games, Whizz Records, and Apop Records. They should be $6ish everywhere. If you'd like to write a review for either of these albums, you can have a free copy.
On a related note, Zach, Rex, and Adam are on three of the top 20 albums on the KCOU charts this week! #3 for the Pows / Nightmare Sisters tracks (along with three other Cat Jams tracks) on the Comomusic Painfully Midwestern compilation, #14 with Sabertooth, and #15 with the Pows! ULTAMAX drops to #25 with a mysterious question mark, and Pancaked must have been stolen.

and a new video, since I'm realizing I have all this server space! Animal Family feat. MC Cat Genius, Video Postcard, for Tokyo Fun Party's January 2004 "PM Sessions" then-unpaid Cornelius remixer showcase; video by Channing, editing and inappropriate Japanese subtitling by Takashi Otagiri; 20 minutes, RealMedia

flavor roundup
Thanks to everyone who came out to the recent shows: Channing Kennedy at Ragtag, Sabrina-and-Channing-hosted True/False events, MC Cat Genius on the KCOU Live Hour, MC Cat Genius and Obelisk at the Sparky's Ice Cream statue wake (we raised $50!), and Sabertooth at Mojo's for the Pows best-of/Sabertooth CD release show. I'll get photos and audio up from these various events as soon as I'm able, and I'll be out-n-about today stocking the new Sabertooth album and the new Pows best-of album at Maude Vintage, Apop Records, Slackers CDs & Games, Peace Nook, and Whizz Records. I'm very proud of how both of these CDs turned out, and I must say Sabertooth had an absolutely extraordinary show, first or not. We got some video, hopefully the audio will be suitable for rippin'.
In other news, I'm actually naming a deadline for the Pancaked call for remixes. The Pancaked remix deadline is April 1. If you need a little more time, or help getting it onto a computer, just let me know (catjams at catjams dot com). I also updated the release plans on the Pancaked informational post. I also also added the hot new remix I got from Tiny Pants!, hot-ass local two-piece and sometime Pows impersonators! Actually, I got four remixes from them, and chose to put this one up somewhat arbitrarily.

Also, I would like to furnish you with some delightful links to cool guys.
Kawatory, my PM bro! Hiroaki Koshiba, our Entei & Whitesnake graphic collaborator!
And here, at long last, is the video I made about the Pows for their breakup show at which Tiny Pants! was them. IT'S REALMEDIA DEAL WITH IT
