Cultural Hangover
Well, it's too late, but Cat Jams had a booth in the Blue Note for the Lumpen exhibit (part of the True/False Film Festival)
Speaking of True/False, the festival went well (more than 10,600 tickets sold). "The Untitled Camp Film" and "Heart of the Game" were highlights of the festival for me. Also, The Dandelion Junk Queens were amazing; how were other films/bands? Feel free to comment on True/False or on your favorite Pop-Tart flavor...
Tonight (2/27), Noam Chomsky is talking at the Missouri Theatre at 7:00 PM. It is sold out, but you can listen on KOPN 89.5.
Lastly, Sno-Cone Magazine came out... There are many Cat Jams related articles/reviews/pictures. Pick one up somewhere around town; they look beautiful and are well written. (editor's note: the Sno-Cone website hasn't been updated in four years, but the new print issue is days old and deliciously fresh!)

Cierto/Falso y Corkies
We're up at the Corkies! Thanks to those who nominated us; the Cat Jams multirelease party is up for best event (along with Miami Dragons/friends (and others)).
Update: Hiroaki Koshiba with Jerusalem and the Starbaskets suddenly appeared on the nominations list...It doesn't specify which HK/JATSB show.
And if you're bored in the middle of World Studies class, then I recommend clicking on the MP3s link (which is now working).
Also, some of our friends are playing between films at the True/False Film Festival (Feb. 23-26)...Here's the list: Baby Dee Cave (!) Celandine Curtis Eller Dandelion Junk Queens Ellie Come Home (!) Flowers (!) Girl Talk Howard Marshall & Friends Jerusalem and the Starbaskets (!) Leah Quinelle All Stars Featuring Happy (!) Peter Stampfel Spot Strawfoot

rchived!@
Here is the Cat Jams Label homepage on archive.org.
It's kinda plain now but all the releases are there. Archive.org is also where I'll start uploading the audio from live shows I've taped, the video from various video projects, entries in the Cat Jams podcassette series (mixes and shows made on cassette by various people and then ripped into digital form), etc etc etc. I'll tag everything with "cat jams" in case it doesn't come up under the main grouping for whatever reason.
So anyway, all of the Cat Jams media has a permanent home now, regardless of how much I move the website around. Booyaka!
